Blogmania Withdrawal & Brain On Pause

Blogmania officially came to a close this morning at 12am and my poor fingers are grateful. Don't get me wrong, I ABSOLUTELY heart Blogmania and hope to participate in the next event as a "giver" as well as one who receives. I entered almost every one of the 168 blogmania giveaways during the two day event (WHEW!!!). I must say thank you to all those bloggers that had really easy entry methods; It's because of YOU that I was able to enter as many contests as I did (You all have very special places in my heart♥..smile☺..sap♥♥♥..gooey show of emotion☺☺☺). I have actually won two contests already (I will let you know which very soon)and I am very hopeful for some others. (☺☺☺YAYY ME!!!☺☺☺)

Now, about this "brain pause" situation. I have been on a bit of a blog pause this week, and I really can't explain why. My last post was minimal at best, in preparation for the blogmania event and my previous post was a sponsored one. I do apologize to my new readers as well as my old ones for that. My brain is officially back in gear, the pause is over....without further ado...LET THE BLOGGING RESUME!!!!

I don't know about anyone else, but I am ridiculously excited about Blogmania!! Not only will it be a chance to win some fabulous prizes, but I get to visit with more amazing people. Blogging is absolutely wonderful!!! I am slowly but surely mapping out a routine so that I can better navigate the blogosphere. Blogging has just recently become a part of my life, but it is here to stay. I am working extremely hard to make my blog one of substance and quality and look forward to gaining more readers. In addition, if you wanted to Re-Boost another person's phone (maybe your child or as a gift), using your credit card, you could do so without attaching your card to their account. I think I know what my children are getting for Christmas this year, Boost Mobile phones!!!!

Speaking of Boost Mobile phones, I was very pleasantly surprised by the selection of phones. They offer some of the best phones on the market from very reputable companies such as Samsung, Sanyo, Motorola, and Research In Motion. Another great aspect is that they operate on the Sprint Network, which as we all know, is one of the best! Being able to depend on my network is one of the greatest driving forces when I'm choosing a cell phone service. I am a complete and utter “internet junkie” and Boost Mobile can soothe my itch. Whether I need to check my email, update my facebook status, or see the latest on twitter, Boost Mobile is there. I personally believe that it's nothing short of amazing to be able to keep an eye on all of my social media sites for such a great price per month. Now, back to the phones...I have my eye on two in particular, the Blackberry Curve 8330 smartphone and the Motorola i1. They are both offered at great prices and would satisfy my needs perfectly. It's so hard to choose!! I honestly think the Blackberry Curve will be my ultimate choice. I have admired my sister's Blackberry for some time now and I think it's time to try it out for myself. Thirty Questions--Thirty Days: Day 10--Songs You listen To When Your Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad

As I pondered this question, I found it a bit hard to decide exactly what I listen to when I feel a certain emotion. Music soothes me on a level so deep that there aren't words to describe it. I feel music in my soul, in every fiber of my being. If I had a great singing voice, I would probably sing from the highest mountains and peaks. Sadly I do not possess such a voice, so I bombard my local Karaoke establishments with my subpar, less than stellar, but quite enthusiastic voice every chance I get!!! I decided to share some of my favorites that would be in rotation, if these particular emotions were to arise. I am a hip-hop and R&B lover for sure, but my love of music spans all genres. Enjoy!!

9-11....Remember

It's hard to believe that it's been 9 years since tragedy struck the world that one awful day. Our lives were forever changed and the after effects are still felt today.

Keeping with a positive theme, remember those that lost their lives and those that still struggle with the loss of loved ones.

I was cooking breakfast. My family was visiting, so we had a house full, talking and laughing LOUDLY!!(You know how it is when family gets together and we haven't seen each other in a while) The TV was on mute, but the news was on. I was mixing batter for pancakes and watching what I though was a commercial for the "new" Wesley Snipes movie, Art Of War. If you've never seen it, you have to know the type, scaling bulidings, things blowing up everywhere. Anyway, I slowly realized that it was no commercial. I alerted the family, and for the first time all night, the room went completely silent. We had no words; none to describe, none to comfort. You see, we all have family members that live and work in New York. I got on the phone immediately and called my sister-in-law. My nephew answered and told me she was on her way to work. My heart sank, her trip to work would lead right through the mayhem. I won't go into the details of my frantic and frightened feelings at the time, let me just say that she was okay. Her bus had let them off on the bridge; she got covered in soot but no harm done. My family was spared that day, but so many others were not. I will pray for wisdom and understanding and hope that our futures will not be tainted and marred by such actions ever again.

Peace and blessings to our soldiers, then and now. We will never forget.
